03 minor girls were rescued from the clutches of human traffickers by 24th Bn Sashastra Seema Bal Rangia.

Border Post Nalapada received information that near Atarikhat intersection, a suspicious person was taking 03 minor girls in an e-rickshaw for human trafficking. A patrol team was moved by BOP Nalapara to Atrikhat intersection. Based on information, BOP Nalapara of 24th Bn Sashastra Seema Bal Rangia (Assam) conducted a joint operation in collaboration with Rural Development Centre (NGO), Tamulpur, Assam. The patrolling team noticed that a person was traveling in an e-rickshaw with some minor girls. On being confronted by patrol team, no satisfactory answer was given by the said person. Due to which it appeared to be a case of human trafficking. During interrogation, the girls told that they were being lured and seduced by Ashok Kumar, S/o- Vijay Prakash, age 38 years, resident post-Bodiya Kamalpur, police station-Sadar, district- Rewari, Haryana in pretext of job. All three girls are residents of Indo-Bhutan border area.
The patrolling team and Rural Development Centre (NGO), Tamulpur, Assam apprehended the three minor girls and the human trafficker. Trafficker along with three girls handed over to police station Dimakuchi, Assam for further investigation. 24th Bn of Sashastra Seema Bal is continuously carrying out such operations to fulfill its duty of guarding the Indo-Bhutan border and proctecting the citizens living in border areas. We also organized meetings with bordering people to encourage and motivate them for provide their support against any illegal activities occurring in their area.
